Happy April! ย Wondering how to get some of Spring’s Energy into your life?
I’d like to share a โquick fixโ here and something you can use for the rest of your days.ย Itโs called Breathing.
Did you know that most of our energy comes from Oxygen and not food?
Improving our diet and increasing activity will help our body function without using up all of our energy but our โlife forceโ comes from the Breath.ย This is known as Prana in Ayurvedic science or Qi (Chi) in Chinese medicine.
Hereโs a simple yet highly effective way to increase your own energy and life-force.ย Step outside and do the following:
Breathe in through the nose for a count of 7, hold the breath for 7, exhale through the mouth for 7 and hold your lungs empty for 7.ย Repeat this 7 times. ย You can gradually add the amount of repetitions you do.ย The more you practice this and other conscious breathing methods the more you will attune and benefit.
Here are a few things Breathing can help with:
- Increasing energy
- Pain management
- Stress management
- Anger management
- Relaxation
- Concentration
- Removing toxins from the body
- Improved digestion
- False hunger cravings
