Crawl Before You Walk

November 18, 2013 by Mike Lamitola

I recently spent an evening with friends who just had twin boys early this year (great little guys too!)  They had friends over who also just had twins and one of them had just started crawling.  Our friends little one decided he wanted to try to.

He got himself up on his hands and knees, made an attempt and then fell down.  No go this round but we all know that really soon he’ll be crawling.

This is a pretty natural part of life.  We’re fascinated when we watch it happen with children, But what does it mean for us?

It means that this is how you reach your Goals!!

We all have them…

  • Lose weight
  • Sleep Better
  • Exercise
  • Lower your Stress
  • Get control of your “numbers”
  • Prevent disease
  • Overcome an existing condition

Here’s How to Get There!

Babies teach us that you have to crawl before you can walk.  And you have to prop yourself up on to all fours before you can crawl!

Instead of focusing on ALL of the things you have to do or change to reach your goal, I ask you to think about only 3 things.

  1.  The Goal
  2. How you will feel when you reach The Goal
  3. The immediate next step to get there.

Here’s an example for the mobile aspiring baby:

  1. Goal – I want to walk
  2.  How will I feel? My whole life will change when I start walking, it will feel amazing
  3. NEXT step – Work on propping myself up onto my hands and knees

Let’s make a Strategy Together so you can Reach Your Goals.

If you don’t feel that you have the best support possible to reach these goals, I’m here to support you.  Just reach out to me.  I’ll get you to that most important step - Feeling Amazing!
